This pump does not have a check valve.
Testing has shown higher fuel delivery with less amp draw vs the comparable unit with a check valve. Removing this feature may slightly increase cranking time. (Driver can briefly cycles key to on position prior to engaging the starter. Minimal difference with this practice)
